Dear Baseball and Softball Community,
If you haven't heard, Brandon Hundt (owner of Inside Pitch) recently had to go in for another emergency back surgery. What a way to ring in 2017...Right ?? !! This is the fourth one he's endured in less than 7 months. He's had severe spinal complications for many years, but it wasn't until this last year that he was forced to have surgical procedures done to prevent serious damage.
I don't have to tell many of you the immeasurable service that this guy, and his team, have provided to each of our kids that has passed through the doors at Inside Pitch. He took over that facility 10 years ago and, with his team and his passion, has turned it into a premier training facility. Every year they've poured their hearts and souls into that place and have done everything they could to keep the doors open so that our boys and girls could be given the greatest amount of instruction, guidance, exposure and opportunities that this county has to offer.
As you can well imagine, these surgeries and the amount of time that Brandon has been unable to work has had a dramatic financial impact on his young family. His wife Tiffany is now faced with the extraordinary burden of solely supporting their family of 5 both financially, physically and emotionally. Having both a toddler and a special needs child at home, not to mention Brandon now being laid up in bed, it is also going to impact the amount (if any) of her job that she can perform outside the home to bring in any source of income.
I have set up a "Go Fund Me" campaign to help raise money for Brandon's medical expenses and their living costs until they can get back on their feet, which may end up being over a year from now. below is a link to that website. I am terrible at social media, so I am relying on you more socially savvy people to help me spread the word to an enormous audience. Please share on Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Instagram and whatever else there is out there.
Thank you on behalf of them and please give generously so that we can reach the goal I've set. It's easy to donate and we're off to a good start for day one. Forgive me if I've sent this to you more than once.
